Tamara Neely, MSN, FNP-C

Tamara Alford Neely has been the wife of Meredith Neely for 19 years and is mother of teenager, Makayla. She is a Christian who puts God first in her life. She was raised in rural Benson, North Carolina and currently lives in Charlotte, NC. She serves as the Medical Director for her clinic and non-medical home care business. She has been a Nurse Practitioner since 2014. She is an HIV Specialist receiving her training from Duke University. She has been in business for 11.5 years providing non-medical home care services, HIV case management, and housing to male veterans with mental health/substance abuse issues. Tamara has been a nurse since 2003. She received her training from Carolinas College of Health Sciences, Winston Salem State University, UNC at Charlotte, and Duke University. Currently, she is enrolled at Anderson University to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Before nursing, Tamara went to JCSU to obtain a BS in Biology and worked as a Medical Technologist in the hospital for five years. Her training was done at Carolinas College of Health Science for Medical Technology to work as a Generalist Medical Lab Technologist. Tamara started her 501 (c)3, The RISE Project of the Carolinas, in 2008 to start doing government contracts with HRSA. Her first government contract was with Mecklenburg County Health Department doing emergency financial assistances and case management working with the community of minorities who have HIV. She has received many grants/contracts since 2008 and written grants for other companies. She has opened two family care homes and two multi-family housing facilities with services in Charlotte, NC. She has a real estate company, Neely Realty & Investments, which provides rental property and commercial properties in the Charlotte area. She enjoys teaching others about first time home ownership. She believes in giving back and helping others. She serves as a mentor and coach for others in the healthcare business. Her company, HC4C, has given out three scholarships for the past two years to assist freshmen going to college. She is a consultant for those wanting to start a business in the healthcare area.
